MOSCOW, Dec 19 (PRIME) -- Russian ambassador to Turkey Andrei Karlov was shot at, suffered bad wounds and taken to hospital in Ankara, the foreign ministry said on Monday.
A representative of the Foreign Ministry said that Karlov had received on-site medical assistance, adding that the Russian government is in touch with the Turkish authorities.
Turkish media said the incident happened at an opening of a photo exhibition.
